Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan, the Founder of DIMAC, has learnt at Harvard Law School for a Program on Negotiation. He held a Master of Laws Degree in International and Commercial Dispute Resolution Law educated in the United Kingdom in 2011 after completing his Bachelor of Laws University of Ho Chi Minh City, majoring in commercial law in 2001 and a Bachelor of Arts at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics two years afterwards.

He was admitted to the Bar Association of Khanh Hoa Province in Vietnam in 2006, at the same time his taking a role as a leader of the Coordination Board of the Group of Young Lawyers in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. To be honour, Vietnam International Arbitration Centre, at Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VIAC) recognized him as an Arbitrator of VIAC on May 11th, 2012 and two (02) years later, Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan moved and joined the Bar Association in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ahead of time when DIMAC was established, Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan was a Partner of Phuoc & Partners, a professional law firm with around 60 people and ranked in top five (05) leading law firms of Vietnam.

For the time before joining Phuoc & Partners as a Partner in 2006, Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan worked in several leading law firms, such as Lucy Wayne & Associates, Thang & Associates, Luat Viet Advocates and Solicitors and has also been a Legal Counsel for several multinational foreign invested enterprises in Vietnam.

Obtaining roughly fifteen (15) years of experience in dealing with legal matters and dispute resolution in a diversity of fields, principle areas of which are commerce, foreign investment, real estate, labor and insurance, he is highly acknowledged as an excellent expert in negotiation and a leading lawyer in Vietnam.

Mr. Pham Quoc Tuan advised and worked the high-profile clients, such as ANZ, Standard Chartered Bank, Commonwealth Bank, Coca-Cola Vietnam, Prudential Vietnam, Samsung Vina, VNG (Vina Games), GM Vietnam, Akzo Nobel, Monsanto (Dekalb in Vietnam), Schenker Vietnam, World Cat Vietnam (Puma), GM Vietnam, Schenker Vietnam, Perfetti Van Melle Vietnam and other large corporates. In terms of dispute resolution, amongst other cases, he experienced in settlement of the disputes over the Park Hyatt Hotel Project in Ho Chi Minh City, International Airport in Danang and the biggest claim value in a labour case in Vietnam for a well-known multi-national oil and gas company.

In year of 2014 and 2015, he was invited to participate in the Board of Drafting by the Ministry of Justice to draft and give opinions on the Decree on Commercial Mediation, which will be submitted to the Goverment for issuance.

Mr. Le Thanh Tung, the Partner of DIMAC Law Firm, was Legal Associate Director of Masan Group and Chief Legal Counsel of Masan Resources for a period of approximately five (5) years.

Mr. Le Thanh Tung held a Master of Law Degree majoring in International Law at the University of Panthéon - Assas (Paris II) in France in 2001. He also has participated in the International Law on Development at the University of Malakoff (Paris V) in France in 2002.

Mr. Le Thanh Tung joined the Bar Association of Thai Binh Province in Vietnam in 2006 and became a member of Hanoi Bar Association in 2009. 

Before joining Masan Group, he had worked for several outstanding law firms of Vietnam, such as Baker & McKenzie Vietnam, Logos Law LLC, Luat Viet, VCI Legal and had also been a Legal Manager for Vietnamobile

Profession Experience

Mr. Tung also experienced in advising on several capital market transactions, including loans from foreign and domestic banks, bonds, private placements to foreign investment funds, and mergers and acquisitions acquired from his 5-year tenure at Masan Group.

Mr. Le Thanh Tung directly advised on establishment of a joint venture between Masan Resources and H.C. Starck GmbH and provided assistance on all the legal matters arising out during the joint venture’s operations.

As Chief Legal Counsel of Masan Resources, Mr. Le Thanh Tung advised Nui Phao Mining Project from a greenfield project to a fully ramped-up operation of significant scale, which ended up by successfully listing on the stock exchange.

Prior to joining DIMAC as a Partner, Mr. Thanh was the Head of Hanoi Office and Director of Dispute Resolution Practice of VCI Legal, leading the dispute resolution team there for almost five (05) years. As a result of working in other large companies and law firms, i.e. Techcombank as Legal Counsel for the Board of Directors for more one (01) year and Attorney-at-Law with Baker & McKenzie over three (03) years, apart from VILAF and Bizlink, Mr. Thanh gained valuable and respectful working experience. 
More importantly, Ms. Thanh’s having served over ten years as a Judge in Courts in Hanoi is actually his very strong point, bringing him into a group with very few lawyers with this notable feature. Mr. Thanh has been also a visiting lecturer of Vietnam Judicial Academy, giving lectures for judges’ and lawyers’ training courses for several years.
Mr. Thanh held two (02) Masters of Law Degrees, one of which is in Deakin University and Melbourne University in Melbourne, Australia in 2002 and the other is in Hanoi University of Law in 1997. Before this, he graduated Hanoi University of Law with a Bachelor of Law in 1988, Hanoi University for Society and Human Sciences with Bachelor of English in 1995. In his profession path, Mr. Thanh is currently a member of Hanoi Bar Association and Vietnam Bar Federation.
